Hi Hank,

Leaving the technical execution of the site to one side, I think the crux of the problem with your website is that it screams "we are cheap". And while that maybe attractive to some clients, I suspect they aren't the ones you want.

If you're going to compete on price then you need to convince potential clients that they will also get the same quality creative.

So I guess what you need to do is say, "we are as creative as the next guys, but ultimately we're a little less expensive, because we have this cool interesting business model."

Therefore the site really needs to explain how good your people and execution are first, then convey the fact that this is a new business model.

There are several possible approaches, get a really great designer to go crazy and, maybe just link out to the blogs and homepages of the team, do something in Wordpress, but do something that's not Flash-based, something that looks high-quality, something that emphasises the quality of your creative team.

Mail me on moshidance at googlemail dot com.

Good luck

Tom,

Excellent points - thank you for your perspective. Would you consider working on a project with Agency Nil? We could use that kind of knowledge and confidence to make our web executions better.

Sorry, but I have to disagree, while Agency Nil's maybe interesting, their website is horrible, it sums up what's wrong with so much agency digital work - Flash loaders, illegible scribble fonts, bad clipping paths...
