You can pick your friends, you can pick your panel, and you can pick your friends' panel

This week SXSW opened up their Panel Picker to the public. There are a total of 2650 different panels being proposed. Breakdown:

  • 2211 Interactive
  • 297 Music
  • 142 Film

I went through every one of them to pick the one from each category I think you should vote for.*

Interactive: Sponsored Conversations: Good Strategy or Spam?

Peter Kim of the Dachis Group is assembly an All-Star team of SocMed superstars to debate, and I do mean debate, this timely and somewhat controversial topic. With Chris Brogan, Joe Jaffe, Ted Murphy and others on board, this is going to be a must see.

Music: The Power Pie: Purpose, Passion, Performance and People

Rynda Laurel hosts a Power Panel consisting of Ariel Hyatt, Jody Gnant and Deborah Crooks talking about music and the music business and how to make everything, and everyone, work together.

Film: Film Blogs as Contagious Ciniphilia: Amateur Criticism and Movie Culture

Chuck Tryon looks at how blogging has changed the role of the film critic and the dynamics of online word of mouth.

Ok, that’s not true. I’ve got a day job, you know.
