The First Must-Read of 2010

Last fall I was fortunate enough to be asked by Ambal Balakrishnan to participate in her ClickDocument’s ClickPredictions eBook. Before I get into the details of this book, let me just say that Ambal is one of the most organized, detailed and forward-thinking people I have had the pleasure of working with. What I’ve learned by participating in the production of this book would well be worth the price of a $1000+ conference. So, while I’m sure she’ll thank me as a contributor to the book, let me say a big thank you to Ambal for letting me be part of the process. Ok, that said, on with the show.

First, what is the book about? Well, the title says it all: Key Content Marketing Trends and Predictions for 2010. If you are not familiar with Content Marketing, stop reading this post right now and head over to ClickDocuments and  Junta42. This is really important stuff and where dollars are heading. So the subject matter of this book is relevant. Add to that a list of contributors that is rock solid: Dave Fleet, Joe Pulizzi, David Alston, Jessie Paul, Maria Pergolino & Cindy King – true experts in the field.

This book provides a wealth of information with strong POVs by people who aren’t just talking about this stuff, but actually doing it. Still not convinced? Here, read the ClickDocuments post on the eBook – key excerpt:

“…we dusted off our trusty crystal ball and passed it along to 39 of the world’s top B2B marketers, e-mail marketers and social media gurus, and asked them one straightforward question, “What are key marketing trends and predictions for 2010?”

The answers are fantastic. You’re going to get a first-hand look into the future of content marketing from the people that live and breathe it every single day.”

It's like if the cast of Godfather II weren't actors, but Content Marketers, this is the book they would write

Ok, I’ve sold this thing enough now. Where can you download it? Right here.

Just one last final word. I’m in the process of writing my own eBook right now. First time I’ve tried it, so it’s going to be a modest document. Ambal and her team have done a ridiculous job putting this one together. So, enjoy the book for its content, but make sure you take the time to appreciate the craftsmanship that went in to putting it together. It’s not easy, but they made it look so. According to Ambal, here’s who is responsible:

There are several “behind the scene” heros who made this eBook possible.
My friend/biz-partners Rajesh Setty and Justin Evans who conceived ClickPredictions eBook and worked tirelessly for the last two months to launch it. All the stalwarts in StressLimitDesign (Justin Evans, Francis Raymond, Emily Vezer, Ben Yoskovitch, Wes Hatch, Colin Vernon, Eric Craven, Peter Ryan) who toiled away day and night (literally!) to build the eBook. Our sponsor Marketo (Jon Miller & Maria Pergolino) were very supportive.

I hope you’ll find the information contained in this eBook usefull. Please, help spread the word by retweeting this post or using this tweet:
